A very early autumn image of the morning sun just starting to burn through the mist over Ross on Wye, with the relections of St Mary's Church, one of the most prominent buildings in the ancient town.
Birnbeck Pier at the north end of Weston Super Mare is the only pier in the country that links the mainland to an island, deigned by Eugenius Birch and opened in 1867, it is now a grade II listed pier. The gothic toll house and pierhead buildings were designed by local architect Hans Price. The pier is closed to the public now but still houses the lifeboat station
